1 DAY MALINDI CITY TOUR

You will be picked from hotel early in the morning and depart to Malindi. You will pass via Vipingo sisal plantation and you can make photos.

First you will visit the Gedi Ruins. The Ruins of Gedi are the remains of a Swahili town located in Gedi, a village near the coastal town of Malindi in Kenya.

From the 13th or 14th to 17th century, Gedi was a thriving community along the jungle coast of East Africa. Although no written record exists of this town, excavations between 1948 and 1958 revealed that the Muslim inhabitants traded with people all over the world.

It was declared as a historical monument by the museum society of Kenya and its one of the heritage sites. Visit the museum and then you will join the local Giriama dance, the local tribe which lives nearby.

Proceed to Malindi sea shore and have a small walk at the white silver sand beach and then board a local boat sail for a ½ an hour then drive for lunch at scorpion villas.

Then explore the old town of Malindi whereby you will walk around and visit the museum and Vasco da Gama pillor.

Malindi is one of the oldest town along the coastal line and one of the favourite spots on Kenya's coast with attractions split between luxurious hotels and building that to the 12th century. Malindi is bigger town that lies North of Watamu. Boasting Vasco da Gama pillor point. It is busting market town with banks and restaurants. Malindi is well known for Italians tourists, once rivaled only by Mombasa for dominance in this part of Africa .Then drive back to your Beach Holiday,arrive early evening.
